“View from Chumbe”
While staying on Chumbe Island (a Coral Park and eco-resort on the coast of Zanzibar), I painted this en plein air as I looked across the waters towards Tanzania. It's a simple little painting that tries to capture the subtle movements and color of tropical water while sitting there observing. View from Chumbe, 4 by 10", oil on linen panel, 2007
