Prints
are now available of Lisa Egeli's oil painting of Blackwater National
Wildlife Refuge, titled, "Breathless". This is the artist's
first venture into the digital printing process known to many as, "giclee",
but more accurately described by Adamson Editions, the producer of this
print, as, "digital pigment printing." This 111/2 by 20 inch
print is a limited edition of 40. There are no artist's proofs of this
print. The digital file was created on October 10, 2005 and first printed
on October 18, 2005.
Adamson Editions of Washington, DC, is widely recognized as the best in
the field of digital printmaking. Only the finest state-of-the-art equipment
and archival materials are used. Experienced professionals work closely
with the artist to ensure the highest quality and most accurate results.
This was printed using an Epson Ultrachrome Pigmented Inkset and an Epson
9800 Printer. The inks used are pigment-based, not dye-based, so they
have much greater permanence. Information on permanence is available at
www.wilhelm-research.com. The print is made with eight color inks: C,
M, Y, K, LTC, LTM, LK, LLK. The paper used is Crane Museo, 100% acid-free
rag.
Signed and numbered prints are $300, and prints including a pencil remarque
by the artist are $500. Please email the artist if you'd like to know
what numbers are available.
